FRIDAY (September 11, 2020)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
“…where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”” (Matthew 18:20)
““See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:10–14)
God looks out for the lost ones, always. No one is too lost for God. He will seek you out and find you, and when He does, all of heaven and earth will rejoice at your finding! Our heavenly Father wants no one lost in His Kingdom, and so sends His Good Shepherd to seek us out.
Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Father, we lift up Calvin before you this day, asking that You would give him your mercy all the days of his life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
O God, from whom all good proceeds, grant to us, Your humble servants, Your holy inspiration, that we may set our minds on the things that are right and, by Your merciful guiding, accomplish them; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
