TUESDAY (November 3, 2020)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gospel Sentence
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)
Reading
““Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”” (Revelation 7:15–17)
Meditation
The glimpse of heaven as a reality in which there is no more hunger, thirst, sickness and sorrow, is a beautiful vision indeed. A vision that provides hope and comfort. But there is more. Those who are before the throne ( and that will include us!), serve God day and night. God’s love for the world was so engulfing that He sent Jesus to serve us, in love. That was the gift of Jesus—serving us, as we in turn serve others. It is not a burden, but a gift of love. That love will continue forever.

Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Lord Jesus Christ, be with Steven this week. Give him your grace and teach him to learn more of your mercy with each passing day. Amen.
Prayer of the Week
Merciful and gracious Lord, You cause Your Word to be proclaimed in every generation. Stir up our hearts and minds by Your Holy Spirit that we may receive this proclamation with humility and finally be exalted at the coming of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
