MONDAY (November 2, 2020)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel Sentence
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)

Reading
“Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:12–14)

Meditation
This throng of people, these multitudes with their varying pedigrees and backgrounds, have the one thing necessary. Christ has clothed them with the garments of His righteousness—His holiness. They are washed clean and made pure in the blood of the Lamb. We, too, are washed clean, made pure and holy in our baptism where we are clothed in Christ.

Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Heavenly Father, bless Trent with faith in you and fervent love toward all those who cross his path this day. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayer of the Week
Merciful and gracious Lord, You cause Your Word to be proclaimed in every generation. Stir up our hearts and minds by Your Holy Spirit that we may receive this proclamation with humility and finally be exalted at the coming of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
