THURSDAY (May 6, 2021)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gospel Sentence
“I am the vine; you are the branches.” (John 15:5)
Reading
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:7–11)
Meditation
Love begins and ends with God and it is never ending! Our identity is shaped by Divine Love. In our baptism we are joined to Christ. We are in Christ and He is in us. We are infused with His Love. And so Jesus calls us to live out this identity of Love by loving others as He has loved us. The only way we are able to love one another is through the Love with which God has loved us.

Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
O God, You make the minds of Your faithful to be of one will. Grant that we may love what You have commanded and desire what You promise, that among the many changes of this world our hearts may be fixed where true joys are found; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
