WEDNESDAY (March 3, 2021)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gospel Sentence
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:5–6)
Reading
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5:6–11)
Meditation
God’s love for us is beyond comprehension. There is simply no way to fully understand it. It is a mystery to be entered into and embraced with trust. God’s love requires no “entrance card” other than faith, which itself is a gift. Thanks be to God for his steadfast love and mercy.

Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Be with Miriam this day, O Lord, and show her your great love throughout all the days of her life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
O God, You see that of ourselves we have no strength. By Your mighty power defend us from all adversities that may happen to the body and from all evil thoughts that may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
