HCAP for March 22, 2021

MONDAY (March 22, 2021)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel Sentence
“For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”” (Jeremiah 31:34b)

Reading
“And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”” (Jeremiah 31:33–34)

Meditation
“Forgive and forget” goes the saying, and there is a lot of truth in that. To forgive a debt means to release it, to remove it from sight so that it is not valid anymore. That is what God does for us in forgiving our sins. And then, He forgets them. They no longer enter into His mind and heart. And when God forgets something, it is truly forgotten. Your sins no longer have any power over you, because of His divine forgetfulness.

Silence

Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
Almighty God, by Your great goodness mercifully look upon Your people that we may be governed and preserved evermore in body and soul; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
