HCAP for March 19, 2021

FRIDAY (March 19, 2021)
Feast of St. Joseph, Guardian of Jesus
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel Sentence
““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:15–17)

Reading
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:17–18)

Meditation
Jesus came into the world in order to save it. This is pretty simple, yet it is profound and wonderful. He doesn’t come into the world as judge, or example, or cheerleader or advice giver. He comes to save the world. He comes as Savior. He comes as your Savior. That is who He is, and that is a very, very good thing for us all.

Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Father, we lift up Rosalee before you this day, asking that You would give her your mercy all the days of her life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for the Feast of St. Joseph, Guardian of Jesus
Almighty God, from the house of Your servant David You raised up Joseph to be the guardian of Your incarnate Son and the husband of His mother, Mary. Grant us grace to follow the example of this faithful workman in heeding Your counsel and obeying Your commands; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
