HCAP for July 27, 2020

MONDAY (July 27, 2020)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel Sentence
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. “ (Romans 8:28)

Reading
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.” (Romans 8:28–30)

Meditation
God’s desire and plan is for all to be saved. The gift of faith is offered to all. The gift is just that—a gift, free for the receiving. In this gift, God gives forgiveness os sins, eternal life and rescue from the evil one. Sadly, many reject the gift and are separated from God eternally. God will not force Himself on anyone, but He does offer himself to all through the merciful death of His Son Jesus.

Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
Almighty and everlasting God, give us an increase of faith, hope, and love, that, receiving what You have promised, we may love what You have commanded; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
