TUESDAY (July 14, 2020)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gospel Sentence
“You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide their grain, for so you have prepared it. “ (Psalm 65:9)
Reading
“So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”” (Romans 8:12–15)
Meditation
As the baptized, led by the Spirit, Christ becomes our brother. God the Father is our Father. He grafts us into the holy family and makes us children of the heavenly Father. Fear has no place in this life for we are held safe and secure in the Father’s arms. Our brother, Jesus, prays with us and for us to the Father. The Spirit intercedes for us when we do not know what to pray. We are never alone.

Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Lord Jesus Christ, be with Donna this week. Give her your grace and teach her to learn more of your mercy with each passing day. Amen.
Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
Blessed Lord, since You have caused all Holy Scriptures to be written for our learning, grant that we may so hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
