MONDAY (April 12, 2021)
In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
“…these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:31)
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.” (1 John 1:1–4)
This text is full of embodiment words involving the senses: hearing, seeing, touching. Jesus is incarnate—fleshly— with a body. He comes as man. Comes as one us. He enters into our time and space to journey with us on this earth. Jesus, the creator enters into His creation with a body in order to restore and heal what He had made.
Prayer for Holy Cross Member
Heavenly Father, bless Jayson with faith in you and fervent love toward all those who cross his path this day. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer of the Week (from Sunday)
Almighty God, grant that we who have celebrated the Lord’s resurrection may by Your grace confess in our life and conversation that Jesus is Lord and God; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
