Little Local Town Goes International

I want to give a little shout out for the second annual Taste of Loomis on Friday, June 20, from 6:30 -10:00 P.M. If last year’s inaugural event was any indication of how great the Taste of Loomis can be, then you are in for a treat.

“OK, so what is this Taste of Loomis and why should I go?” you ask.  Well, here’s the deal.  Not only is Taste of Loomis a fabulous way to spend a Friday evening, partaking of food, libations, and great entertainment, the proceeds from this event goes to the For One Another Foundation, and in particular the clean water projects around the world.  And, of course I have a vested interest in this as Always Mercy partners with For One Another to bring clean water to Kenya. Our goal this year is to bring 200 water filters to Kenya in August. Those 200 filters can provide enough clean water for over 2,000 people and potentially save hundreds, if not thousands of lives. If that’s not incentive enough to attend Taste of Loomis, then I don’t know what is!

OK, well I give you one more…. Yours truly and my beloved will be serving up scrumptious samples from our favorite  restaurant, The Green Elephant. This food alone is worth the price of a ticket. I kid you not.  So come and join the fun— dance a little, eat a lot, drink in moderation and make a difference in the lives of those who don’t have the luxury of drinking clean water.

Tickets are available at http://ift.tt/1olrRtr where you can also learn more about their mission to provide clean water to people in need around the world! Check out the video from last year’s event:

I also have a few tickets for sale if you want to purchase them the old fashioned way!
